Service Description

This course equips students with the knowledge and skills to effectively respond to medical emergencies and provide care until professional help arrives. This course is for students who are seeking to respond confidently and effectively in critical situations. Participants will learn assessment techniques to evaluate the severity of injuries and illnesses to themselves and the patient. Some topics covered include managing choking incidents, controlling bleeding, and stabilizing fractures and sprains. Students are also taught when and how to safely administer first aid while maintaining bystander safety.
